Hand over the yard. We'll start below.
Before a lawn looks like anything, the ground under it has to be cleared, leveled and run with water. That is where the work starts here — land clearing, lawn leveling, trenching, sod installation — and it is the half of the job nobody sees once the grass is down. The mowing, edging, feeding and weed control that keep it that way are on the same list.

Questions
A few things worth answering.
Do you do one-off projects, or regular upkeep, or both?
Both, and they are two different jobs. The project side runs from land clearing and lawn leveling through sod installation, retaining walls, pavers, fire pits and outdoor kitchens. The upkeep side is mowing, edging, dethatching and aeration, weed control, fertilization and overseeding. Some people call once. Some people never really stop calling, and that is fine too.
What happens after I ask for an estimate?
The first step is a consultation and a property review — a conversation about what you want, and someone looking at the ground it has to happen on. Estimates are free. You can start it with the form on this page or on the phone at (208) 247-7125.
Do you work on sprinklers and irrigation, or only on what is above ground?
Both. Large Irrigation Systems, Sprinkler Maintenance & Repair and Trenching are all on the list, along with Sprinkler Installation and Repair. Out here the pipe under the lawn is most of what makes the lawn possible, so it is not a side line.
What do dethatching and aeration actually do?
Thatch is the mat of dead stems and roots that builds up between the green grass and the soil; once it is thick enough, water and fertilizer sit on top of it instead of going through. Dethatching pulls that mat out. Aeration takes small plugs out of the ground so air, water and feed can reach the roots, and so compacted soil loosens up. Dethatching and Aeration is one line on the upkeep list.
Sod or seed?
Sod arrives as a finished lawn, rolled out over ground that has already been prepared. Seed starts as bare dirt, so you water it, wait for it and weed it while you wait, and the ground under it has to be right or you do it twice. Sod Installation and Seeding and Overseeding are both here, so the answer can go either way.
Do you go outside Boise?
Yes — Nampa, Meridian, Eagle, Star, Garden City, Caldwell, Kuna and Middleton. Nine towns with Boise, and that covers the entire Treasure Valley.
